Happy 250th Birthday to this incredible and amazing country, the USA!
About 38 years ago, I had the opportunity to come to this country, and I must admit—it has been an incredible journey. Looking back, I am deeply grateful for the opportunities and blessings I have experienced here.
From my own experience, I want to highlight two of the most remarkable things about the United States.
1. The freedom to worship
This country gives every individual the genuine freedom to worship. Deep within their hearts, people recognize that they are created by God. The Bible reveals this God as a loving God who made a way for fallen humanity to be redeemed. Jesus Christ, His Son, came into this world and paid the penalty for our sins by dying on the cross.
In His love, God offers this gift of salvation to everyone, yet He never forces anyone to accept it, because forced love is never true love. The Founding Fathers understood the importance of religious liberty and established it as one of the foundational principles of this nation—that every person is free to worship God, or not, according to the dictates of their own conscience. The government should not interfere with that decision. Many people may not fully appreciate the significance of this principle, but it is truly one of America's greatest blessings.
2. The opportunity to write your own story
This country gives every citizen the opportunity to write their own story. Regardless of race, background, or social status, people have the freedom to pursue their dreams. If you are willing to work hard, take risks, and persevere, you have the opportunity to build a better future for yourself and your family.
I came here from India at the age of 20 with only $20 in my pocket. I studied, worked many different jobs, and through God's grace, hard work, and the opportunities this country provides, I have reached a place in life for which I am truly thankful.
Happy 250th Birthday, America! May God continue to bless this nation, preserve the freedoms that have made it exceptional, and guide its people with wisdom, justice, and truth.
